Co-Admin role at Lab Level
The Co-Admin feature introduces a new role at the lab level, allowing individuals to be assigned as Co-Admin for a specific lab. A user with Co-Admin access will have nearly full administrative privileges over the lab they are assigned to. This includes provisioning virtual machines, configuring the template VM, updating lab configurations, and adding users to the lab. However, Co-Admins will not be able to create or decommission the lab itself. Co-Admins remain just below the Global Admin / Lab admin in terms of privileges, making them ideal for supporting day-to-day operations without compromising control over critical actions. This role is designed to enhance collaboration and operational flexibility, while ensuring governance and accountability are maintained.
Visibility of Image Definition Name
The Visibility of Image Definition Name in the CloudLabs portal provides a direct mapping between custom image names used within CloudLabs and their corresponding image definition names in the Azure portal. This enhancement improves transparency and simplifies image management by allowing users to easily identify which image definition is linked to each custom image. As a result, managing and deploying virtual machines becomes more convenient and efficient.
Support 32 and 64 GB disk size for Custom SKU
As part of enhanced flexibility for Linux-based virtual machines, CloudLabs now allows to create custom VM SKUs with disk sizes of 32 GB and 64 GB. This capability is limited to Linux distributions and is ideal for use cases where larger disk sizes are unnecessary. By provisioning smaller disks, users can reduce resource consumption and also benefit from lower cost, making deployments more efficient and budget-friendly.
Display of Virtual Machine Name
The CloudLabs portal now displays the Virtual Machine name directly on the VM Lab instances page once the VM is provisioned. This enhancement allows Lab Admins to easily identify the virtual machines allocated to the users. Each Virtual Machine is assigned a unique name, supporting better lab management and improved traceability.
