Monitor Lab Environment Status
To monitor the lab status of the user, navigate to the Users Page page inside the CloudLabs portal.
The lab status page will be showing the current status of the lab environments (i.e approved, accepted, deploying, succeeded, deleted or failed)
Once the learner registers for the lab the environment status will be in the Approved state. After that, the AD account will get created inside the lab environment and the status will be changed to Accepted. Then the resources will get start deploying inside the environments via Azure. At this point, the status will be changed to Deploying. Once the resource deployment is completed the environment status will be changed to Succeeded.
VM Usage Duration
In some cases, the Virtual Machines will have a fixed uptime limit. This means the VM will be running only upto a fixed duration. Once the VM timer runs out, it will automatically get dealloacted in Azure Portal.
SQL DB Usage Duration
Same as in the case of virtual machines, SQL Pools will also have a fixed Uptime Limit. Once the SQL Pool completes the given uptime it will get paused automatically in Azure Portal
You can find the VM and SQL usage duration of the learners individually inside the lab details page.
Access Control Panel (1) to view the duration of the VM and SQL DW for all the learners
Next, click on the VM Usage (2) to access virtual machines duration information and click on DW Usage (3) to access SQL Pool details.
VM Usage details page will look as mentioned in the below screenshot:
DW SQL usage page will look as mentioned in the below screenshot:
Here you will be able to get data on the usage of DW and SQL by the learners and for how much time they have consumed the resources.
ACI
We use ACI containers to provide RDP over HTTPS experience for learners. These containers automatically get start/Stop or delete along with the VM's.
You can also start or stop the ACI Containers from the control panel page.
Tracking Progress
Per User Validation Report
In per user validation report you will be able to see the individual validation status of the learners.(i.e Failed or Succeeded). You can get the per user validation report from the Users Page against each learner.
Override Validation for a user/task
In override validation you will be able to override the validation status of a learner. This means you will be able to change the validation status of the learner from Failed to Succeeded. To update the validation status of a learner go to the users page against the environment where the learner has registered After accessing the user page you have to click on the validation icon available against each learner environment.
Once you click on the validation icon on the users page a Attendee Validation Status page will be displayed and inside that you can click on Update Validation Result button which is available against each excercises in the lab.
